15 month changes

Easton had his 15 month check-up on Monday.  Doctor said he is developing beautifully!  He has been sick for over a week with a cough and had a fever for about 4 days last week accompanied by HORRIBLE teething.  He was getting all 4 of his eye teeth in (which they say are the worst) and so he was in sooo much pain and soooo crabby for about 4 days.  He also reminded us what sleepless nights were all about.  For 2-3 night he woke up every 2 hours in pain so we'd have to go in there and comfort him until he fell back asleep (which thankfully didn't take too long). He now has quite a mouth full: 16 teeth!  And he loves to brush his teeth!  Easton's weight dropped at his 15 month appointment from being sick and teething.  He weighed 25lb 13oz (about 50%) and he was in 85% for height and 100% for head.  He's one tall skinny boy right now!  I don't think he'll have a problem gaining the weight back once he's feeling 100% because he's such a good eater.  He didn't get his shots at his appointment because he still wasn't feeling that great and the doctor said his spleen was low which I guess can happen if you have a virus.  So, we're going back in a few weeks to get the shots and his spleen looked at again.

Changes are happening at our house!  Jake got a new job! woohoo!!! He'll be working in Chanhassen at Northcott Hospitality (they own the AmericInn hotels).  He'll be doing the same thing he did for the state but he will have more opportunities with this new company.  So, we're all excited and happy for this change!

Easton is slowly being introduced to the toddler room at daycare.  He actually spent an entire day in there last week.  Nap time and all.  Or should I say "lack of nap time."  He slept from 12:15-12:30.  Can you even call that a nap?  They sleep on cots and so of course he was completely thrown off by this. I hope this transition isn't too difficult for him - I'm sure he'll do great socially...the only thing that concerns me is sleeping on a cot.  He moves around  A LOT when he sleeps so that will take some getting used to.  I think he may be falling off the cot a lot at the beginning. :)
