He can read!

Well, Grandma Cathy brought up some fun things to teach Easton to read.  He caught on in about 3 minutes and was sounding out words!  I was in shock as to how fast he figured out how to sound out words.  He's only reading 3 words right now but I'm still amazed because he's only 3 years old.

I started back to work this week. yuck.  The transition back to work is going to be much easier this time around because I'm only working part-time and Raya won't need to be brought to daycare for a year.  Easton is going to go to school 1x/week so that he can still have fun with his friends.  He has made some great friends at his school and I couldn't take him fully away from that.

We went on the river last weekend for the first time this summer.  Boy have things changed since we had kids.  We used to spend every single weekend on the river before kids.  Now it's just a whole lotta work to pack up camp and bring the kids down there for a day on the river.  Easton had a great time driving Grandma and Grandpas boat and playing on the beach.  However, he had to miss nap which always results in a tough night and next day.  He just keeps going and going and when he doesn't get down time he just crashes.
