Birthday Weekend!

Easton's smash cake

What a fun weekend we had with our boy!  It started earlier than planned because daycare wouldn't let him go on Friday because they thought he had pink eye (which he didn't have but they thought differently so I took him back home to spend the day with Mom and Dad).  We were planning on taking a half day of work anyways so it worked out just  fine.  We took Easton to the ENT that afternoon to get his ears checked as earlier in the week he had some blood/drainage and it turns out he has an infection.  But the doctor wasn't concerned and it didn't seem to bother Easton too much - the doc. just thought his ears were still draining from all the fluid from before and that he was still adjusting to the tubes.  They love him at that place and were so excited to see he was walking now and even more happy to hear it was his birthday so they have him a rubber ducky for a birthday present!

Saturday we got ready for his parties and went on a walk to the park to enjoy the beautiful weather!  We all enjoyed this so much - it was so fun to get out of the house and to watch Easton play at the park.  He loved the swings and slides.  Later that day Grandma and Grandpa Guth, Auntie Mary, and Auntie Mandy and Uncle Jake and Cousins Stella and Gretta came over to celebrate Easton's birthday.  Easton had so much fun playing with everyone and absolutely loved all the fun and attention he got all day!

Sunday was basically a repeat of Saturday.  We went to the park again and then celebrated his birthday again with Grandma and Grandpa Hemmah, Great Grandma Hemmah, and Auntie Kelsey and Uncle Zach.  Easton had fun being pulled around the yard in his new wagon.

What a great birthday weekend we had.  I truly cherish the weekends with my boys as I feel as though I never get to see them during the week - especially when I need to work late.  Spending the weekends with them is my favorite thing.  We can't even believe that an entire year has gone by - this has been the fastest year of our lives and the BEST...what a joy he brings to our lives!  I am going to be turning this blog into a book for Easton so when he is older he can read about the first year of his life and all the cute, funny, and great things he did during the year.

Happy 1st Birthday, Easton.  Mommy and Daddy love you so much!!!
