Talk about a strong-willed child! Yikes, he's a spitfire! Our challenge lately is not having a meltdown when we don't get our way. And listening... It's tough when Mom and Dad are in charge and he's not. Hopefully we'll get through this super-fun-tantrum-throwing stage soon! I think it would be easier if I could just let him throw his fits - but they conveniently always happen when Raya is sleeping in the next room and we desperately don't want him to wake her up so we have to intervene more than we probably should. For those parents who are outnumbered by their kids and still have things under control... way to go! :)
Easton started soccer on Saturday and he LOVES it. We knew he would. He had soccer last year at school with his friends for 30 min/week. So, that warmed him up to it a little bit. This time he's taking it through the YMCA so he doesn't know any of the other kids and it's at an elementary school instead of his preschool. Jake and I were a bit nervous going into it. We thought he might be too shy to participte but once he got a soccer ball he just played his heart out. He also impressed us by what a good listener he was to this coach. I know this is going to seem biased but he was definitely the best one there. He was the only one on the team who didn't cry during the hour practice or go to their parents saying they don't want to play anymore. Other parent's also commented on how fast he is and what a good soccer player he is. Proud parent moment. At one point I heard him telling his coach, "I play soccer on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Friday." Hopefully he does just as good next week when he has a game.
He had so much fun on Halloween with his buddy Bryce. Those two ran from house-to-house as fast as they could. Easton liked to tell people, "Happy trick-or-treat" after they gave him candy. It was definitely fun to watch and listen to them. Easton says he got 100 pieces of candy.
