10 months!

Can you believe it?  I certainly can't! Time goes sooooo fast as a parent!  The time has come when Easton cries when  I drop him off at daycare.  Ugh, just breaks my heart having to turn around and walk out the door as he's crying and crawling as fast as he can after me.  I know he's fine but I just wish I didn't have to leave him. He currently has another double ear infection, this one is a horrible one too.  From Tuesday to Friday he had a high fever and would not sleep in his crib - Jake and I took turns holding him through the night.  He seems to be on the mend.  I have a follow-up appointment this week to talk to the doctor about tubes and hopefully the infection will be cleared up.  As scared as I am for him to have surgery for the tubes, I've only heard great things about them and would do anything for him to not be in the pain he has been in for the past week.  Poor lil guy.  A few things about Easton as a 10 month old:

1. Knows the word "bottle" and will get the biggest smile on his face if he wants one and you say the word - or will get mad if you say the word and don't give him one (Jake and I often spell a lot of words these days!)
2. It is literally impossible to change his diaper alone - sometimes even with 2 people it's challenging - he rolls over, stands up, pulls the diaper out from under him ... it's quite the experience.  Changing clothes is also just as challenging.
3. He says "dada" and "nawnaw" (which we think might mean no).  Hoping if/when he gets tubes that will help him learn more words as he'll probably be able to hear better.
4. He knows what he wants and is determined to get it....which is starting to result in temper tantrums.  Jake and I are trying our best to "stick to our guns" and not give in to these mini-tantrums.  Most of these occur when we don't let him climb on top of the fireplace, on top of the animals, or does not want to take a nap or go to bed and will do anything he can to try and get out of his room. 
5. If things are not in a place that he likes them he will continuously put them where he wants them (example: I put his books on the shelf and he will take them all off and hide them under the tv stand...over and over and over again.  Or if we put mail in the mailbox of his toy house he has to get it out of the mailbox as fast as he can.)  He's hilarious!
6.  He loves the songs "old MacDonald" and "Itsy-Bitsy Spider"
7.  Loves to do, "Sooo Big"
8.  He has 8 teeth and counting - the doctor saw some molars coming in - can't believe how many teeth he already has
9.  He's a walking machine - I think anytime in the next month he'll be walking on his own.  Although, he's learned that he can get places faster when he crawls so he resorts to that when he wants to get somewhere fast - which is 99% of the time.
10.  He is the strongest kid ever!  There's no way to describe this - you just have to see it for yourself  ;)  (not hard to believe since I was given the "body builder" award in gymnastics in 2nd grade...okay, okay, maybe most of it comes from his Dad) :)
