"Do you have colleges calling you already?"

This is what one parent asked me at soccer the other weekend.  Another said, "he has such an athletic mind." (more like competitive).  But, yes, in comparison to many of the other kids there... Easton definitely out-performs them.  The past 2 times he likes to also take on the role of the goalie (they don't have positions and never have goalies).  The first time he did this and stopped another kid from scoring... there were some major tears from the other team.  So, I was kinda torn from congratulating him but it was fun to watch him strategize (that's a word, right ;)  how to keep them for scoring and how he would score (because he's the only one who plays on his team he has lots of running to do from one end to the other when he wants to be goalie, too).

He's continues to amaze me with his smarts, as well.  He can identify all the numbers up to 100 and can read time correctly (most of the time)... on a digital clock.  The one thing he really struggles with his sense of time.  If we say, "we'll do that later, Easton"  He will say, "NO TODAY!"  He also wants things done right this very second.  We are really working on patience and waiting... and it's not the end of the world if you have to wait 2 minutes to play the "fighting game" with Dad.

Jake said when they went skating the other day they had to "drop their sticks and fight" a couple of times.  Easton has recently learned that you fight someimtes in hockey.. so now of course he's obsessed with this.  We're trying to end this frame of mind before he becomes "that kid" on the team.

New favorite thing... falling backwards on the couch.  Oh the fun things we discover in the cold of winter!

Wanted to hold Raya like a baby... she was not having it!

Pretending to pry open the door.... Raya was laughing sooo hard.  It was so funny!
