Eddie lost his fight with brain cancer early this morning. He held on and fought to the end. We are so sad and will miss his infectious laugh. Especially the way he could make Auntie Mary laugh! Eddie has taught me to find the good in every situation and to truly live life to it's fullest - as he did. Easton says that Eddie is going to be an angel - and there's no doubt about that!
Easton looked up at the sky today and said, "I miss you Eddie, I love you." So sweet. Easton doesn't fully understand yet but he knows enough... He asked me to go to heaven with him to see Eddie and asked if God is going to make him better so he can come home.
We are going to keep his memory alive in our house through stories, dance parties, superheros, laughing, and the occasional sip of scotch (by Jake).
We love you, Eddie! You were one heck of a super hero Uncle to Easton and Raya and a great, always fun-loving, brother-in-law to Jake and I. You'll be greatly missed.
